I’m sitting here on Friday night trying to finish all my content ready for next week, Fertility Awareness Week which is led by Fertility Network every year and have actually been getting stressed all day about when actually with The Fertility Podcast, for the last seven years every week has been a fertility awareness week.
That comment is not to take away from the week, as the more attention infertility gets the better in my book as having been talking about this topic for so long now, I’m amazed at how I’m still having a lot of the same conversations.
Is there enough information available?
Recently, I’ve been talking to some new companies forming, who are on a mission to help people get access to better information and have access to leading experts and credible information… exactly what this podcast was created for. I’ve been asking myself how this is still such an issue, when to me there is so much more information available than there was when I was trying to conceive.
There are amazing voices within the online communities of instagram and facebook and there’s loads more podcasts now than there were when I launched mine, yet more and more companies, apps, ideas are being shared to help people find the information and answers they need.
IVF Avalanche
Earlier this evening I was speaking to a client who works within the fertility industry who spoke about an avalanche of IVF treatments to which I asked why that was.. their answer was due to people making better life choices and choosing not to wait. With all that we’ve been through in the last 18 months, of course, many of us have been reassessing our priorities and this comment makes me think people are better informed so the last seven years haven’t been in vain as far as I’m concerned.
I hope if you’re reading this blog having just found The Fertility Podcast, you’ll find our content useful as we’ve got more organised in 2021 in what we have shared on our podcast feed. The rest of our back catalogue sits within the pages of this website, waiting to be better organised once I’ve launched my next venture, which i’ll tell you about very shortly.
Please do have a look at our instagram and the conversations happening this week for Fertility Awareness Week, if you are coming to this conversation having just found out your path to parenthood is going to be more complicated than you expected, as we’ve got your back. There is an amazing amount of support available for you right here within my facebook community to, so come and join us and say hello.
