You need two bodies to make a baby, but how does not being able to make a baby make you feel about your body? Dance artists Maria Da Luz Ghoumarassi and Shantel Ehrenberg
In A Tree Without Leaves, Maria explores how the experience of her grandmother (who had twenty children) and her mother (who lost three) affected her own body and motherhood story. And in (In)fertile Territories, Shantel explores the female identity in relation to infertility and maternal loss and particularly the bodily moment of encounter with the diagnosis.
The artists will be joined on stage for a discussion with Barbara Scott, the country’s leading reproductive reflexologist and 2017 FHT Complementary Therapist of the Year, and Jane Denton Director of The Multiple Births Foundation and Co-lead of the Elizabeth Bryan Multiple Births Centre and newly elected President of The British Fertility Society. Chaired by Kate Brian.
