Well Hello! It’s been a while since I updated this blog ( i’m somewhat embarrassed to say ) however time has flown with all sorts going on, needless to say I’ve still been making time to enjoy a brew – this one claimed to improve my memory. Ironically I can’t remember what it was bloody called! We’re heading into National Fertility Awareness Week 2023 and if you’re reading this as the result of googling what to listen to to learn more about your fertility, I can safely say you are in safe hands and I hope you subscribe and get stuck in.
It’s been a hectic time for me, having finally bought a house – so I’m now loving doing it up, just trying to manage my impatience and also remember where the nail file is as the constant sanding, stripping, moving stuff around isn’t doing my nails any favours but it’s a small price to pay for finally getting out of rental and onto the ‘ladder’
This post is just to say – welcome to The Fertility Podcast as if you’re finding it due to being at the start of your route to parenthood and trying to find some credible information I hope you enjoy what we’ve created as it’s been a 9 year labour of love.
My focus has changed somewhat since I started the podcast – and I’m now proud to say I’m one of three female co-founders of Fertility Matters at Work – this is me with my fellow co-founders Becky and Claire at a round table event we hosted for a law firm in Leeds. We’re doing all we can to increase awareness within the workplace of the huge impact fertility struggles have on our lives and if you’d like to get the conversation happening at your place of work do have a look at our instagram account as we’ve got an amazing campaign happening this week. The work we do is extremely rewarding and we still have to pinch ourselves to see how far we’ve come as we’re working with leading brands across the globe helping them to implement our fertility-friendly accreditation with a combination of awareness-raising events, training for managers, and consultancy for policy and guidance development and it is a real privilege to be able to go into organisations and talk about how they can do more to support people as we’re really seeing a huge impact. I love how i’ve been able to combine my experience as a former broadcaster into the panel events we host, you can see me in action here at our launch event for CBRE.
Back to what’s happening with The Fertility Podcast and Kate is doing an amazing job and has great episodes lined up, so be sure to keep listening meanwhile I’m busy making The F Word at Work podcast for us at Fertility Matters which is all about the workplace conversation, so do have a listen
if you’ve not yet had a chance to review either pod or to follow them, please do so wherever you get your podcasts xx
